The biggest threat to modern football is fixed matches

Once again we have quite a bit of exciting, big news to share with you. The star player of Lyngby, Kim Aabech, is suspended for the first eight (8) rounds of Superligaen this spring, but Lyngby decided not to cancel the contract with the player, instead they changed it, lowering his salary. He was given suspension for betting against his own team in a game he participated in himself. Can you believe how his teammates would judge him?

German Bundesliga
News came this week regarding Danish Mainz 05 defender Bo Svensson’s ligament injury. He will not have to go on the operating table, and is not expected back for another couple of months. In other news, Bayern Munich’s Bastian Schweinsteiger has recieved news regarding when he is expected to be back and he is likely to be playing again as early as mid March. Moving on to new injuries, Borussia Dortmund’s striker Shinji Kagawa is suffering from an ankle injury and the club’s medical staff is expecting him to be able to play again against FSV Mainz 05 on the 3rd of March. Quite a lot of players are suspended this weekend. FC Schalke 04 tops the list with 3 suspended players, these being Jermaine Jones, Chinedu Obasi and Benedikt Höwedes.

Spanish Primera Division
Barça prepares the league match against Valencia with the absence of Xavi Hernández. He has remained in the gym and it doesn’t seems like we’ll see him play against Valencia. José Antonio Reyes will most probably not play the next match against the “Barcelona defeaters” of Osasuna, due to an injury in his right knee.
